Cycling Without Age Scotland is our Chosen Charity for our Summer Concert 2026

With pioneering green-energy Trishaws, which it introduced into the country, CWAS provides free-of-charge rides in almost every part of Scotland, from the Borders to our outer islands. It does this for anyone of any age dealing with mobility challenges or living in loneliness or isolation, and especially the elderly. Through more than 80 Chapters (branches) around the country, it provides more than 1,250 of these rides every week.

Members of the Borders Chamber Orchestra took a spin around Melrose in Trimonty, the Cycling Without Age Scotland trishaw based in Melrose and piloted by Catharine Fletcher, ahead of their concert at Melrose Parish Church on Saturday 27th June.

Since it was launched in April the Melrose electric trishaw, Trimonty, has been a regular sight around the town providing rides for anyone of any age dealing with mobility challenges or living in loneliness or isolation, and especially the elderly. Money raised at Saturday’s concert, which starts at 7:00pm, will be donated to Cycling Without Age Melrose.
